AMY CARRIER CROWNED MISS GREAT BRITAIN 2010

Amy Carrier, a 20-year-old law student from Liverpool, was crowned Miss Great Britain on Saturday night December 4th in Weston-super-Mare. Lisa Lazarus, 23, a part-time radiography student at Hertfordshire University, was first runner-up. Gina Basham, 22, who holds Miss Birmingham City, was second runner-up. The organizers of the pageant decided to scrap an outdated rule that banned single mothers from entering and accepted five of them this year.

Amy Carrier already held the title of Miss British Model. She had to come through a pretty tough ordeal to beat the other 56 contestants, doing tasks such as modeling a swimsuit, modeling an evening dress and in the final round answering one question drawn at random.
